Hmm, that was xenophobic scaremongering , yet we could say that Australia is at risk of being swamped by Asians, due to our geographic location. It does unfortunately overlook basic sociological theories. One theory states that once a population enters a first world status, birth rate declines dramatically. The only way to sustain the population is by migration from third world countries. Third world countries have to have a high birth rate to sustain their population due to high mortality. Funnily enough, another theory states that there is a decline in traditional religious beliefs in first world countries. Since Islam is a religious belief, perhaps there would be a decline in this uptake.

What my belief is that religion itself is something we should be greatly concerned with, especially when mixed with politics. Adelaide is a prime example of what happens when this occurs. We have religious fundies infesting politics and influencing it, gradually removing our democratic rights in favour of a totalitarian regime. All this under the guise of 'protecting the children'. I don't know if this is true, but Hitler supposedly said that people would accept the inherent loss of freedoms under the guise of state 'trying' to protect the children. If this is true, here we are today in a so called 'democratic country' slowly falling into a fascist Nazi regime thanks to the religious fucks in our government.

Just recently I've read that the government wants to set up an online ombudsman trawling online social networks for 'appropriate content'. While it may help reduce some absolutely fowl content, what else may this form of censorship stop? Political viewpoints perhaps? The road to hell is paved with good intentions. People actually fought and died under our flag to prevent this happening here, and now some 1/2 a century later it's happening again, and we have the religious fucks to thank for it. Scary stuff.

So much for separation of church and state. I really tend to think that fascist religions are our greatest enemy, not terrorists or foreigners. I just wish sheeple realise before it's too late, that it has gone beyond the realms of being isolated pockets of religious fruitcakes, to quickly becoming an insidious virus infesting and influencing every part of everyone's lives. God help us.
